Mine's  Problem in Egypt

I- The roots of the problem of World War II explosive remnants (ERW):

This problem dates back mainly to the military events on the soil of the Western Desert, mainly the so-called Alamein battles (I & II) during WWII, in 1942. Since then and for over 60 years, Egyptians have been paying the price of conflicts they were not responsible for or party to. Yesterday's enemies are now allies and their past conflicts largely forgotten – buried in the ground along with the deadly mines they left behind.
